Vee Dental - Dental Implants

About Dental Implants

Simply put, when you have a dental problem that is beyond the scope of general dentistry, you will need dental implants and oral surgery.

Functionality:Dental implants restore chewing function nearly identical to that of your natural teeth, allowing you to enjoy a wide variety of foods.
Protect neighbouring teeth:Unlike bridges, implants do not need to wear down neighbouring healthy teeth, which protects the integrity of the teeth.
Aesthetics:Dental implants look and feel very similar to real teeth and can help you get your smile back with confidence.
Protects the alveolar bone:The teeth stimulate the alveolar bone and prevent bone loss caused by missing teeth.

Our Treatments

Dental implants Overview

Missing teeth

It is suitable for solving the problem of "missing teeth" or "insufficient bone", with the goal of restoring the full function and aesthetics of the teeth.

  • Dental implants:Solve the problem of missing teeth and restore chewing function.
  • Bone replacement surgery:It is used as a pre-surgical procedure to create a solid foundation for dental implants.

Alveolar bone atrophy

The goal is to create a solid foundation for dental implants by addressing "insufficient bone" or "alveolar bone loss".

  • Treatment:The dentist will increase the density and height of the bone through bone grafting (e.g. sinus lift) to provide a good foundation for subsequent dental implants.
  • Suitable for the target group:Patients who have been missing teeth for a long period of time, resulting in alveolar bone loss or insufficient bone for direct implant placement.

Traditional Dentures

Ideal for "wobbly dentures" or "sore gums", the goal is to provide a more comfortable and secure alternative.

  • Treatment:Dental implants can be used as a support for removable dentures to stop them from loosening, as well as replacing traditional bridges to prevent wear and tear on neighbouring healthy teeth.
  • Suitable for the target group:Patients who feel uncomfortable wearing removable dentures or bridges and want a more secure and comfortable alternative.

Detailed Implant Treatment Procedure

What is the procedure for implant treatment?

01

Initial Diagnosis and Assessment

This is the starting point and the most crucial step in any treatment.

  1. Comprehensive Oral Examination:Your dentist will look at your oral condition, periodontal health and medical history through an intra- and extra-oral examination.
  2. 3D digital diagnosis:Get a three-dimensional view of your mouth, bones, nerves and blood vessels with a 3D computed tomography (CT) scanner or 3D intraoral scanner.
  3. Develop a customised treatment plan:Based on all the data from the examination, the dentist will discuss with you and explain in detail the treatment plan, costs and expected results.

02

Implant Placement and Bone Reconstruction

This stage is designed to create a solid foundation for the new teeth.

  1. Implant placement:After local anaesthesia, the dentist will insert the artificial tooth root (implant) precisely into the alveolar bone. If there is insufficient bone, a bone grafting procedure will be performed.
  2. Bone integration:After the implant has been placed, there is a waiting period of 3 to 6 months for the bone to bond with the implant. This is a critical stage to ensure the stability of the implant.

03

Denture production and function restoration

This is the final step in your treatment to regain your beauty and function.

  1. The pivot table teeth are mounted:Once the osseointegration is complete, the dentist will place an abutment on top of the implant to serve as a base for the crown.
  2. Crown making:Your dentist will create an all-ceramic crown for you based on the shape and colour of your teeth.
  3. Installation of crowns and final examination:After the crowns are placed on the abutment teeth, the dentist will make occlusal adjustments and perform a final check to ensure that the new teeth meet your needs.
