About Oral Surgery

Simply put, when you have a dental problem that is beyond the scope of general dentistry, you will need dental implants and oral surgery.

Oral Surgery:When you have a crooked wisdom tooth, a tooth that won't grow in, an unidentified mass in your mouth, or when you need pre-implant bone reconstruction surgery.

Our Treatments

Oral Surgery Overview

Dental Reconstruction and Restoration

It is suitable for solving the problem of "missing teeth" or "insufficient bone", with the goal of restoring the full function and aesthetics of the teeth.

  • Sinus lift:As a precursor to surgery, to create a solid foundation.

Tooth Growth and Removal

Ideal for "abnormal tooth growth" or "extraction" problems, the goal is to relieve pain and maintain oral health.

  • Wisdom tooth surgery:To deal with various problems caused by poor growth of wisdom teeth.
  • Surgery for blocked teeth:To deal with disturbances caused by the failure of teeth to erupt properly.

Diagnosis and treatment of oral lesions

Suitable for addressing "unknown lesions" or "complex conditions" with the goal of providing diagnosis and treatment.

  • Biopsies of living tissue:It is used to diagnose unknown lesions in the mouth and is a critical step before treatment.
  • Complex surgery:It covers treatment after biopsy, as well as other broader and more complex oral problems.

Detailed Oral Surgery Procedure

What is the oral surgery procedure?

01

Initial Diagnosis and Assessment

This is the starting point and the most crucial step in any treatment.

  1. Comprehensive Oral Examination:Your dentist will look at your oral condition, periodontal health and medical history through an intra- and extra-oral examination.
  2. 3D digital diagnosis:Get a three-dimensional view of your mouth, bones, nerves and blood vessels with a 3D computed tomography (CT) scanner or 3D intraoral scanner.
  3. Develop a customised treatment plan:Based on all the data from the examination, the dentist will discuss with you and explain in detail the treatment plan, costs and expected results.
  4. Biopsies of living tissue:If any unexplained lumps or lesions are found in the mouth during the examination, the dentist will perform biopsy at this stage to obtain a diagnosis for subsequent treatment.

02

Preoperative Preparation and Surgery

This stage paves the way for the main treatment.

  1. Sinus lift:If you need dental implants but have lost bone in the alveolar region of the upper jaw due to chronic tooth loss, your dentist will first perform a sinus lift. This procedure increases the bone to provide adequate space and support before the implant is placed.
  2. Tooth extraction:If your problem is a wisdom tooth or an impacted tooth, your dentist will perform wisdom tooth surgery or impacted tooth surgery at this stage. These surgeries are designed to remove painful and infected teeth and maintain oral health.
  3. Complex surgery:Any oral surgery that is outside the norm, such as cyst removal, jawbone lesion management or biopsy follow-up, will be performed by the dentist at this stage.

03

Recovery and Follow-up

Good recovery and regular follow up after surgery.

  1. Post-operative care guidance:Dentists and nurses will provide detailed verbal and written instructions on how to clean the wound, dietary precautions, etc.
  2. Regular return visits:Your dentist will arrange regular visits to check the wound healing and the progress of the implant-bone integration.
  3. Denture production and installation:If you have implants, once the implants have integrated stably into the bone, we will fabricate and place a denture to give you back your full dental function and aesthetics.
